Hanoi ranks top among greatest cities for food: Telegraph

Hanoi was placed the first in the list of the world’s 16 greatest cities for food selected by the US’s Telegraph.

On May, 24th 2016, Telegraph of UK ranked the most attractive gastronomic cities in the world in the list of 16 cities listed such as Tokyo (Japan), London (the UK), Jaipur (India), New York (the US), etc..

“If it is good enough for Barack Obama. The US president was spotted enjoying $6 noodles with anthony Bourdain in Vietnamese capital on Monday. Clearly he is well aware of the cty’s culinary prowess”  according to the paper.

The Telegraph also advises some local dishes such as “hu tieu”. A bowl of hu tieu noodle soup serving with a sweet and sour soup, pork and fish sauce could be a smart choice for Good morning Hanoi.

Banh mi  – Vietnamese sandwich , a baguette filled with pate, cucumber, herbs, crispy onion and chili might bring to the visitors a surprised taste.

Com tam – broken rice with grilled pork, pork skin, egg and fish sauce is favorite lunch and dinner for local people.
